One of the most overlooked areas of a cyber security strategy, external vulnerability scanning is a powerful tool that provides information on potential security issues in a businesses publicly (or internet) facing assets.

These scans detect potential security flaws and defects in an organisations infrastructure. We specialise in external active scans (meaning we interact with your infrastructure), as this is a good approximation of how threat actors (bad guys) generally start the process of hacking a business.

Most attacks still originate through social engineering (phishing emails, vishing calls), but exploitable vulnerabilities are also a common way in for hackers. By using our service to conduct scans against your infrastructure, you can identify and fix issues before they are exploited by malicious hackers.

Regular vulnerabilty scanning can also be a requirement under a cyber insurance policy. A number of major insurers in the UK mandate external scanning as part of a policy, and failure to implement this could invalidate a claim. Check through your poilicy and with your broker if this applies to you.

Simply sign up for one of our services, and we’ll be in contact to arrange. We’ll send you our terms and conditions, a scoping form, and a rules of engagement letter (basically saying you’re allowing us to conduct the scans). Then, your first scan will be completed. We’ll review the results and get back to you with the report (via a secure link of course!). We provide both the full results and a plain english version too. If there’s anything that is a concern we’ll let you know, and how to fix it.
